Cityside Loves the Earth
CitySide Subaru has been environmentally conscious since our inception in 1995. However, we went one step further in October of 2018 when we officially became recognized as a Certified Eco-Friendly Subaru Retailer. We are committed to making a positive impact on our community and the environment in five key areas:
Energy Efficiency
Recycling
Water conservation
Waste Management
Community Involvement
We monitor and report our usage of electricity, natural gas and water with EnergyStar. We have invested in many programs to increase our energy efficiency such as LED lighting (inside and out), low-flow faucets, auto-off lighting, Energy Star equipment, etc

As the world rids itself of fossil fuels and internal combustion vehicles, we have begun investing in EV Fast Chargers. At this time, we have Level 2 chargers installed in both our Sales and Service Departments.
We recycle as much as possible. This list includes plastics, waste oil, waste coolant, tires, batteries, oil filters, metal, cardboard, paper and electronics.
We were recognized by Subaru as a top sustainability leader in the 2022 Subaru Loves the Earth initiative. We recycled more waste through TerraCycle than any other Subaru retailer in New England.

As it relates to our involvement in the community, we work hands-on with two major organizations: the Belmont Citizens Forum and their Lone Tree Hill cleanup and Speak For The Trees - Boston. CitySide Subaru employees help clean up invasive species and trash for Lone Tree Hill on Earth Day and we plant seedlings on Arbor Day with Speak For The trees.

Some other partnerships include Waltham Fields Community Farm and the Lincoln Land Trust.
Cityside Subaru is proud of its past partnerships to help keep hard-to-recycle trash out of our local landfills.
